| Nominate Your Food Allergy "School Heroes" for an Upcoming Magazine Article Posted: 19 Jun 2012 08:24 AM PDT Sending a child with food allergies to school can be scary. That's why it's so great when we find staff who really understand and go the extra mile to help our kids enjoy a safe and healthy school year. In honor of these much-appreciated but often unsung "school heroes," I'm writing a story for Allergic Living magazine. But I need your help! Do you know a teacher or principal or school nurse who is a true hero to food-allergic students, a person who goes "above and beyond" to make sure they are safe at school? Then please nominate that special person for Allergic Living magazine's upcoming "School Heroes" feature article. Allergic Living wants to hear: Who is this special person? What is it that she or he does that is unique in making food-allergic students safer and more included at school? Are YOU a teacher or school administrator who makes a special effort to help kids with food allergies? Please don't be shy--we want to hear from you, too! E-mail: editor@allergicliving.com We are looking for stories about elementary school, middle school and high school. Please write in the subject field: Safe school nomination Thanks so much for participating! |
